The trade with German real estate has reached the highest level since five years, according to the IVD (Immobilienverband Deutschland) tenement report 2013/2014, with a sales volume of around 13 billion euros (+8%).
An average of 530,000 euros per transaction has been implemented in the year 2013, these are 60,000 euros more than in the previous year. This development is a clear indication of an excess of demand according to the IVD. As in the previous years, the demand focused on the metropolises. The three largest German cities of Berlin, Hamburg and Munich unified 46% of the sales. 80% of the turnover was generated in cities with more than 400,000 inhabitants.
